Gossamer Air Sorceress

Hi, this is my second mini. I tried a few different approaches this time. A black undercoat, which I think helped more than hindered so I'll probably go with black in future. I also tried mainly to paint in lots of thin layers which turned out to be a revelation. I'm coming from oil painting and I tend to forget the covering power of acrylics. Unfortunately I still managed to make a bit of a stodgy mess of the face and hands. Definitely areas I need to concentrate on. I'm really happy with the way the glass effect came out on the bottle at her hip, and I'm happy with the cloak which was done with lots of thin glazes. I know the base is poor and something of an afterthought. I will make more of an effort in future.

Looks pretty good. The flesh looks like the paint was a little too thick. Also, post a little note in the submissions section of the forum and you will get a lot more comments and advice.
