Photos make most of the score on CMON. Read the articles section to see how to improve the pictures. There is a great article on photoshop which is also posted in the articles section. You can get and use gimp for free, just ask in the forums and someone will help. Black wash the metal too.

I think a little bit of black lining would go a long way for this mini, and really make it pop.

I agree with Antnol. The only thing I'd add is make sure you thin your paints. A couple of thin coats is much better than one think one.
