Space Wolf Venerable Dreadnought

A heavy conversion of the plastic dread kit. The extra armour was made from the othedreadnought front plates, Empire shields were added to the c-c weapon and the legs, and a buggy fairing was used to armour up the c-c weapon arm. Extra details include warmaster goblin wolves cut down the middel and epic scale marines to give the impression of a heavily decorated vehicle. The photo was snapped by the WD people at the Chcago 2002 GT.

I am ranking this mini high because of the creativity to use Epic scale minis to provide detail to a 28mm piece. I love the idea, and plan to steal it!

tHE dread looks great, and I especially like your metallic gold- how did you achieve this? I feel the banner lets him down slightly though. Not done to the same high standard as the mini. Love the painting and attention to detail though. Cheers

Why does that Dready look familiar...... Oh yeah, I busted it open with my lascannons couple times...... lol. Just kidding, you know I never did. ;) Anyway, it's good to see good ol' Grendel on this site. You know I admire your work. Hmm, I think your Avatar will get great review on here too. I can take some pics for you if you want. :)
