King Theoden of Rohan (Defenders of Rohan)
Well, this little beaut has been sitting on my painting station (and then in my cupboard :P) for ages now so I finally decided to finish him off - and boy did it feel good when I did! The first thing you'll probably notice about the mini is the slightly dodgy-looking scabbard he's got - I admit I had a little difficulty with the red, the gold is purely down to bad photography and a little uneveness in the model itself. I personally love the base on this model (and my Gimli too), I think that the stance of these models is perfect for a podium-style arrangement to the slate - he's a king looking out over the field of battle, or away to address his men - very nice! Theres not much more to say - I'm very glad I went with Brown armour instead of black, which looked rather incomplete and, while it is by no means perfect, I am incredibly happy with this guy!
