Gimli, Son of Gloin (Defenders of Rohan)
Gimli was painted up whilst riding the high of finally getting Theoden finished (check my gallery) and was surprisingly fast too! I must admit that this model caused a bit of a problem when I tried to remove his base-rail to glue him to the slate (something that I may have to start doing before I paint them now...) as I had to repaint parts of his boot and the corners of his cloak - talk about annoying! There really isn't much more to this guy than meets the eye - he is not my finest or most pain-stakingly painted, but neither is he rushed and untidy - I really enjoyed painting him and thats what counts! :D Onwards to finish the set now!
