40k Imperial Guard Penal Battalion Chimera

My first post here, so please be gentle. This is the first GW vehicle I've built in donkey's years. It's a troop transport for my IG Penal Battalion. It was painted with a mixture of Vallejo, Tamiya and GW paints using a combination of air- and hand-brushing. I'm quite happy with the final result, but looking forward to some useful C&C.

Very nice colors! I really like the fuelcans and with your upcoming changes they will be more realistic to :). I like the idea of the traitor on the fronthull... but. The driversprism is small and (by experience) the sight is very restricted. With the dead body in front the vehiclecommander has to direct the blind driver :). Very nice modell!

Thanks. I'm quite happy with it. You're right about the cans; I'll probably convert a convict to be sitting near then (smoking a fag, obviously :) ) to be holding on to them.

this is a excellent painted mini. Your blending and metals are excellent. You conversion itself raises a few issues. Im my opinion the traitor should have been chained directly to the two brackets holding his chains. also the two gas cans are a little unrealistically perched on the bumper. once the chimera moved they would fall off. tie0down like what you have for the cloth on the other side would work well. Over all this is a excellent and very underrated mini.
