VOTOMS 1/35 Scopedog

Ookay...this aint exactly a mini, but you are looking at the grandfather of Heavy Gear and countlesss other mech-inspired genres after their appearance in the 80s. This kit wasn't available in Singapore, so I got a friend buy 2 from Hongkong. Plastics are moulded 2 decades ago, so quality is average with not much detailing on the hands. I remember when I was a kid Takara use to sell them in 1/35 scale at only S$1.50 each (that's like USD0.80 back then - damm cheap!!) with 8 or 9 different types in a square-ish tall box, they are extinct now...very fond memories of building them and running covet missions behind the sofa, kitchen tables, near the windows....the nostagia...

You can find some of this stuff in other parts of Asia, you just have to know where to look. I have seen some old kits in my travels, but I never picked them up.I kind wish I had now.

Someone should totally hunt down the old model kits like these- they were great for their time and would do well with a re-release
