Trollblood Thumper Crew - Work in Progress
I decided to paint this up in parts, rather than assembling the whole thing before breaking out the brushes. 1) I assembled the cannon carriage, sans wheels and cannon, and drilled holes for the pins for attaching the wheels. 2) I painted the wheels, the carriage, the cannon, and the shield all separately. 3) I attached the wheels and the cannon, and then touched up a few spots now that it was a single piece. 4) I started work on the base. Now that I had a finished cannon I could see that the gunner was going to have to stand pretty far back. 5) The base material is done, but obviously the gunner is still in the early stages of base-coating. I'm not attaching the cannon or shield to the base yet -- that would make painting the gunner a *lot* more difficult.
