Nope you're right. In this case the arrows are to show the Techmarines how to load them into the Thunderhawk Transporters. "This Side Up". (I made some of my "Normal" Marines up as "Veterans" to look cool. Good catch Beani.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the veteran squads should not be using the "arrow" icon as it represents Tactical marine squads.
