The white thing is a skull, and it's more readily visible when looking at the figure head on, but his profile makes a better pic. As for his hair and necklace, you're probably right, but I didn't want the colors to "pop" too much. As for the staff, you're absolutely right. My hand is not steady enough to adequately blend over the tops of the narrow raised ridges, so it came out a lot more like layering.
Wonderful Mini! The skin tones are very nicely done and have a great cartoon look to them. The staff almost looks layered on the bottom and more blended near the top, but that could just be the pic or the view. I think the hair should be highlighted more since the model seems to be, and the neckless blends into the skin tones too much. Also, whats that white thing on the base? It doesn't look right on the mini. Have fun!
