My first attempt at sky-earth NMM. Crispy's article really got me going. I know it's not perfect but some parts really do look like metal reflecting the surroundings (which is supposed to be a desolate mountain landscape underneath a red evening sky).
It does look odd but my main reason is that like you say the ground on the metal is desolate mountainscape, grey but your bass is VERY crassy terrain. Took my brain a few seconds to spot what looked out of place...
Good attempt none the less.
It looks quite a bit strange, cause if there was red sky the mountains should be more reddish too. It's good executed, tho, and the painting is over standard. Good job, indeed.
