i know i suck at painting but i like to rebuild them and give them non standard positions. i cant keep calm if i paint and often i just put away the brush cause im just pissed off cause nothing works as i want. any suggestions for my problem (or my horrible painting skills?)?

Hey, the first thing i would suggest is to get some metal files and clean the minis of all molding lines and then base with spray black primer that is meant for hobby minis. i think you'll find you'll have a much smoother model. Hope this helped

I would suggest learning one technique at a time. im no great master myself and havent done much hobby stuff since halo 3 came out to be honest, but I would try and get good at individual elements first and then it should all come together nicely. Find a good basic tips page, read it and make sure your know techniques like black lining at least and thinning your paint, ink washing all the simple stuff etc. Then decide where you want to start - maybe the helmet or blood effects on your weapons for example. Look at photo references of textures of the thing you are painting as well as the work of the best people on CMON to see what to aim for. Have a go at basing the figures as well - this is really easy and will make your figures look much better without even having to get better at your painting! Hope this helps.
