Forgeworld ruins

These are really lovely sculpts and the resin picks up an incredible amount of detail. I think they are much better than the 40K Cities of Death sprues as these pieces have a lot more depth and don't suffer from being 2D like their plastic counterparts. I think the restrained colour scheme works well, but the most important thing is the use of appropriately coloured foliage. There are no greens in the grass and bushes and this really helps to give it a solemn and deserted feel. The only additions I made are the rusting iron railings, which just give a little extra interest.

Hmm.... dunno... The grass gives it a nice abandon feel... but it's been abandon for decades, not blasted last week, so the rubble seems at odds with the plant growth.
