Cleric (reaper)

This is probably one of the most time consuming miniatures I have done so far (reaper wise) he's been primered and in the stages of painting for about... two months now? I bought him just prior to Christmas if I remember correctly. His main armor color is Ultramarine shade with an adamantium black highlight/armor color for the in betweens and a ancient brass armor color. His belt was coated with a very thin wash of brown leather and then a thiner wash of brown ink. His book and scrolls were done in a mix of brown tones along with copper page coloring for both books. His face was done in five coats (it's not as apparent in the picture but theirs a great deal of contrast in reality >.>) and I went back after these pictures were done and gave him larger blue irises.

This will seem a harsh criticism but you have a number of "flaws" in this painted figure and if you want to improve, these should be items you need to address. Firstly your brush control needs work as the area between blue and green boundaries shows several misalignments and overpaints. The photgraph doesn't show a great deal of differenciation in regards to highlights and shadows especially in the face, plus you've left a huge hair on the figure when to took the picture. :) Your paints seem diluted to a good coverage level without overly heavy detail obscuring, which is a very good starting point. :) I'd seriously suggest joining in with the Works in Progress forums and seeking advice there. Most of us are sensible and will give you far greater advice in the forums than you could get through single miniature submissions in the Galleries.
