Gothic Horror Sackheaded Killer Scarecrow

Here is my first sackhead of four. I haven't painted the other three yet, but this one was great fun to do and I am looking forward to it. Unlike most of the painters on this site, I don't enjoy painting groups of figures. I almost have to do one at a time to finish them. This figure, like my Security Trooper in Bio-suit (ID 19087) is from Westwind Productions. I like these alot, but integral bases have never done much for me. I cut away the portions of this one that over hung the GW round base I mounted it to and then used Durham's water putty to level it off. Durhams is alot like plaster but harder and more brittle. It's very light weight as well so I cannot recommend it for filling bases to stabilize them. As I mention in the commentary for my Security Trooper, price wise the figures from Westwood are a real bargain. I bought mine through Newwave and paid $5.40 US. I got them as part of a 30 piece lot so the shipping was fairly well offset. The price for the individual figure is less than two dollars. That made me very happy. I appriciate reasonably priced high quality figures. :) These are the first two figures I have posted in over a year of visiting this site and I hope that you like them. Your comments are welcome and appriciated.

Another very cool mini. Walking ScareCrows! The image is too small and fuzzy but I can see nice shading on the "jeans". For Weight, I actually "super glue" a nickle ($.05) under the GW bases for my more out of balance pieces. Only works if the fig doesn't use the slot. Very nice work...again, I'd love to see larger pics.

This is a very unique mini. I like the idea of a sackhead creature. This is a good paint job. I especially like the straw looking feet.
