VIC 9 Thief by Werner Klocke

Better late than never. After much swearing and fiddling I have managed to convince my scanner that it isn't a total piece of crap. I present to you my conversion based on Werner Klocke's limited edition thief produced for Visions in Color 9. As you can see I opted to grind the hood away and sculpt on some hair. I'm not fond of Klocke's weapons so I swapped them out as well. The sword is styrene sheet and the pistol is from a Mordheim ascessory sprue. I love the perched pose of this figure so much I wanted to make it into a piece suitable for gaming. It was pretty easy too. I sawed his feet off the gutter and mounted pins in them. Then I drilled corresponding holes in the gutter and a scratch built grave marker (see my other pics). I actually completed this project in June and have been a bit too preoccupied to do this before now, which is why I missed the official showcase.

I like that the building is kind of dingy looking, like it is old and worn. The weapons look pretty cool to me; that pistol goes nicely with the 19th century feeling conveyed by the cut of the coat. Good job.

Thank you for the comment. I was thinking about Warmachine a lot when I was working on this piece, so the size of the gun seemed about right at the time. I had no special reason for the pale skin, though I do think it goes well with the large areas of creamy white. It's also not quite that pale in person, the scanner has badly washed it out.

I like it! Is he a vampire or something with that pale skin? The sword looks great, painting and converting wise. The pistol is a great idea too but looks a bit too bulky & thick. But still a great historical feeling. Although the painting is nice, it looks like the overall theme here needs more color, no? Looks like white is everywere. Perhaps his shirt should of been another color to help seperate the inner jacket and pants? Other than that, great stuff.
