Chaos Blood Bowl Team
Here come my fantasy-football goats and their platemail wearing leaders. I love the Blood Bowl minis, here I tried a lot of different color variations and actually mixing colors with each other to obtain a less "sharp" break between layers as can be seen on my HeroQuest Orks and Goblins. Also, I cut down a bit on extreme highlighting and used washes at places to blend colors as well as tone down the whole mini - for example, the black gor with the yellow/blonde hair was pretty much grey until I applied Badab Black. And the blueish mutant with the tentacles had a proper treatment with Asurmen blue, and Badab Black works wonders on a Boltgun Drybrush, as can be seen on the Warriors. The bases might get a snow treatment later, I am not sure about that yet (and I am still researching "snow" in 28mm scale - I am not sure snow flock works any good, but PVA glue, Water and baking powder sounds like a big kerfuffle as well) As always, I was aiming for a good tabletop-quality so I don't have to play in the dark and be ashamed. Any comments, hints, advice are much appreciated! 60 people have voted now, but only one commented... if you rate these guys 5 or less, please tell me how to improve - it doesn't help me to see the score shrinking from a 6 (what I aimed for) towards 5... is it the photographs, the colorschemes, just general crappy painting... please give me some hints on what to improve.
