Slugdrool the Troll - From the Battle for Skull Pass box set
I finally managed to get some decent pics of my '08 Baltimore Games Day entry. Thanks to my buddy Van for helping me with all the camera stuff. I'm a complete waste of skin when it comes to photography. Anyway... here is the blurb I used on the first pic I submitted for the little plastic rush-job. "This is the troll I did for GD 2008 in Baltimore. It's a bit of a rush job but I'm pretty proud of it. I didn't know I was going to GD until last minute and have been working on Rackham minis. I didn't have my GW stuff to choose from, but I always liked this plastic troll. It was my first Games Day and I learned a lot. It was amazingly educational to see minis painted to competition levels. Living in Alaska, that is not something I've ever been able to enjoy. I know now what I need to push and tweak to be competitive there and have no doubt that I can make a run at a gold next year. The troll did well... I made it to the finals but didn't get a demon. Got a nice pin/medal of a demon to taunt me and push me to get my entries for next year underway sooner rather than later. The things I'm most pleased with about this mini are the teeny tiny eyes with double highlights and the freehand on the loin cloth. It's painted so that he's wearing a dwarf battle standard as a loin cloth. A subtle little racial jab at the stubby dwarfs. =)" -Andy
