Inquisitor (WIP)
Saw this mini and had to get the boxed set. There are some aspects of this figure which are great and others which are not. The Bird and the fur collar are weak sculpts with loss of detailin the birds Head. (As well as the primary feathers on the wings being in the wrong place!) However the Inquisitors face was just calling out for a Black skintone so I took a chance and this was the result. The armour was a careful consideration of not liking the Golden effect shown on the box and in White Dwarf (Sorry Tammy) So I opted to give it a deep red laquered effect. This is mixtures of Scab red/Scorched brown/Black as the deepest basecoat then working up with blends of Scab red, red gore, Blood red Blazing orange and two or three coats of Windsor & Newtons Deep red Ink, to get the laquered effect. I've done NMM on this one there is no metalic paint and I'm still doing some work on it. Each time I take the photo there is something else I spot and then think of extra to add. Currently working on additional freehand on the rear of the cloak. One thing I like about this figure is the potential for conversion as the left arm will accept a Space Marine Captain's weapon with minimal effort. As always comment appreciated.
