Beautiful smooth paining that is lost somewhat in the photo.
I don't think he he is stood on the base is very convincin though.
If you stand on a slope your body automatcally leans to compensate to stay balanced.
This guy would fall over. Little things like that help make a mini convincing.

You know this isn't far from being really really great...
Maybe a few sharper points of highlighs on the black.. only small amounts but almost white.
drop the purple inside the cloak and go for cream or eve dark Green and add a little bit of freehand here and there to detail and it's a cracker.. Nothing mental with the freehand just a symbol here and there , On the pad most noticeably but again a nice solid piece.
