Dwarf Warrior with Hammer

Hey all, I put this piece together after I saw Vincenti's awesome marenus at gduk06. Strange inspiration for a piece like this you might say, but it really inspired me to do a larger scale mini. Thus, when I was going through my bitz box looking for inspiration and came across the old style ogryns which I clearly wasn't ever going to make, I canabalised them. The parts that aren't greenstuff now are the boots, the eyes and the nose. The hammer head is from an ogre and the shield is from the dwarf lord that stands on it. Oh, and the base is another dwarf component with a converted chaos spawn head. Many thanks to SG2009 who took the picture at GD, and to the staff at GW cheltenham for constant feedback over the months it took me to complete it. I was overjoyed to get a bronze gd for it this year, but mainly this was possibly the most fun I've ever had with a miniature, and that's priceless. I'm making another large scale model at the moment and would simply love and value your feedback on this piece. Thank you so much for your time, James Griffin

Hey man, I saw this before GD on a trip to the cheltenham store (I'm a gloucester store vet lol) and I was amazed when I saw it on the screen at GD I think I missed it when I looked around the display. All in all an extremely well earned demon man its nice to see some local sucess (maybe its my turn next year). Chris.
