54mm Malekith GD 2009 Finalist

Try and see past the crap photography, my camera isn't fantastic! This is my 54mm rendition of a Malekith, it has taken roughly 80 hours to sculpt and 52 hours to paint. This is the first time I've completely scratch built a 54mm model and has been a great learning experience for me. For this model I've tried my hand at a technique called 'True Metallic' and personally I'm happy with the outcome. I have also gone over the top with glazing to try and blend the colours in with a smooth transition. Take for example the gemstones have over 15 layers of blue on them (and there the size of a small beetle!) Overall I've had my ups and downs with this model, but at the end of it all I'm very happy with how its turned out. This model was created for Golden Demon and took me all the way the the final judging. Comments & Constructive Criticisms Welcome

Impressive, just by the amount of work, and detail you've put into it. This is a cool model.
