Ice Blue Metal Necron Monolith
My Monolith as part of my ice blue necron themed army. Went for a camo/wash effect to show movement of the living metal, while dirtying up the metal portions for wear. Yes, that's a real red gem! > Primer black, base coat chainmail, wash with asurman blue in blue areas (twice if you want darker), drybrush chainmail, blood red icon and drybrush portal/window on back. Seal with Testors Dullcote. Glue red chandalier crystal (2.5" point cut) gem in place & PVA glue custom red rods in place (thanks to Plastruct 3/32" also BIG rods for side were 1/8" [however I think 1/32" bigger would have been better]!)
