FW IG Lightning on Imperial Quick Launch Hydraulic Ramp
Here's my latest project , a Forgeworld Imperial Lightning mounted on an Airfield Quick Lauch Hydraulic Ramp for Airfield defence as featured in Volume ONE of the imperial armour books (page 219). The Plane itself has been pinned using Carbon fibre rods to allow removal of all main parts and a second set of wings without pylons to be fitted The weapon fit can be changed to allow removal of cannon and fitting of 2 missiles to centreline mount. It was painted using Vallajio, GW and Alclad2 paints It has a full desert wraparound scheme. The flaps are pinned to allow repositioning, and undercarriage is pinned to allow removal for display on a seperate flying base All missiles come off to simulate firing Its markings are for the 332 Squadron ''Death Rattlers'' Air support wing with campaign stripes and kills on the LHS intake splitter The ramp was constructed from scratch using plasicard pieces and sprayed using Alclad2 metal paints(it will be receiving decals and markings shortly to give it that worn look. Hope you like it And Dave hope you like it when you get it!!!! I will put a couple more pictures on from other angle so look out for those.
