Dionne Hunts the Sewers
I first painted this in fall 2008, after Gen Con. The level of contrast was much too low on everything but the skin. I came back to it in the Spring, to get it ready to take to ReaperCon 2009, and I’m now much happier with it. The figure is placed atop a sewer base insert from Wyrd Games. The mushrooms are something I added later. I painted the main sewer pipe and a bit on the figure and then glued the two together. When I did, I realized that the composition felt weighted to one side due to the pose and placement of the figure, so I added the mushrooms to add some interest on the other side. I am auctioning this figure off in support of WAMP’s Little Angel’s Charity contest. So if you like the figure and you’d like to support a good cause, I hope you’ll consider making a bid.
