As this is my first post on CMON, I’d like to say hello to all painters and viewers. I don’t see much progress in my painting so I decided to post my minis painted over the years (not all of them of course). I’ll also try to keep things in chronological order. This mini was painted circa 2003 as one of the first after about 5 year long holidays from miniatures and tabletop battles. It is a playing piece that (along with her squad) blasted many heretics off the table. I’m looking forward to any constructive criticism, insights, hints, comments and anything helping me to improve. I think this mini is seriously underscored - it is a fair TT standard, and this is why I rate it 5. What lets it down is the face - which is rather flat, and the base - which is just goblin green. If you want to improve, wash the face with GW Ogryn Flesh wash and then pick the raised areas back with your flesh tone. As for the base, I would repaint it with GW Calthan Brown paint, wash with GW Devlan Mud and drybrush with GW Tallarn Flesh, then add some flock, preferably Scorched Grass. Don't forget to repaint the rim of the base!
