8th Century Saxon bust

First submission for a long long time!!! May be some more in the not tooo distant future. I have been painting, honest! ;) Unknown manufacturer, commission piece. He did have a replica of the 'Coppergate helm' but the casting was too bad so the detail was filed off and the nasal rebuilt. So instead of a lord or saxon king he's a noble warrior that can't afford the gold trimming etc of a high noble ;) Also had a stab at tartan, there's alot of cloths weaved in England, Ireland and Wales that's very very similar to tartan. So the Scots haven't got the manopoly on cheqered fabric :) It was also a nice piece to have a go at tartan on. Accepting commissions, just PM me. I'll get back to you :D Comments welcome, as always!
