OÁCYNING LORD OF THE OAK-ENTA

Started off with dark olive green, then a dark brown dry brush, then a lighter brown dry, then picked the rocks out with light grey, and washed with dark grey. The the fun starts....lots and lots of fiddly little twigs to try and delineate from the masses. The more rocks I missed, then a wash of charcoal ink, then more browns and greys on the dryer branches, then more rocks I missed, then an overall wash that was a BIG mistake, as I had to go over all the rocks AGAIN! All up about 6 browns, 4 washes, 3 greys, and 3 greens! Pity

Your lighting system is killing the details on the model. Are you using flash? Also, try to use a more matte varnish. It'll take the shine down and let us see the nice contrast and colors you've put into this piece. Overall, good job :)

Funny, he has bright green glowing eyes, which my camera totally failed to capture....!
