I too started by just painting for the arte of it. Pretty nice effort here. Looks like you have your dry brushing covered. Like fastball24 said the photo is a little over exposed which I think gives these girls a bit of an unwarranted gloss look. There's a couple of great photo tips in the articles section. Try some darker shadows in the recess of the clothes. Maybe a darker shade wash then a highlight over it. Good job though. Effort deserves above average score. Keep it up!

Your score should not be so terribly low (4.4)...these are tabletop quality. The effort that went into posing them andbuilding up a scenic base makes it a 6 IMO. You have a couple problems here. The biggest is that your flash photo is so harsh, that you lose all the color subtleties. People are giving you low scores because these gils look like they have no variability in their skin or clothes. Try using a white background and holding a lamp behind your ear when you take a photo, and get rid of theflash. or cover the flash with a stocking. Your technique looks adequate to me, except perhaps that you should thin your paints a bit more with water; you lose some surface detail when you gop straight out of the pot. Keep it up!
