Ferach Imperial Guard 'Porte-Standarte'

This figure originally carried a fanion (a company penant) I decided that he needed substantial modification. To this end I cut the fanion out and replaced it with a scratch built banner pole. I then, out of green stuff, sculpted the tassles and braiding on the bearskin, his cuff backs and the colour sash that holds the standard as well as sculpting the eagle on top of the banner pole itself. The flag I made out of a margarine tub aluminium seal. The flag design was taken from Naopleons 1st Grenadiers of the Guard Standard, modified for the fantasy setting which it is supposed to represent. All painting was completed with acrylics following as closely as possible the uniform guides I was following for the French Napoleonic Imperial Guard.
