High Elf 1

first time painting high elf. (i had posted the back picture too.)i want to thanks all those who had left their comments on my pervious miniatures. if u happen to see this, thank u! :o) hopefully i've improve a bit... i'm using less color n less gloss. however my camara still makes my miniatures "shines" too much. merely paint for fun n enjoyment, i don't wargame. result: don't really hang around much at the local GW, thus hard to improve my skills since not much advice. will really be greatly appreciated if u gals/guys can give your advices. Thanx a lot! Cheers.

Nice, like the different colour scheme - looks like your using a white undercoat, try covering that with a thinned down black ink wash before painting though as this will define the model better and make it look more realistic... Glyn

This is much improved over your previous elf. I really like the colors here. I think that blue and yellow or gold really complement eachother well. The next thing to work on is called "black lining". Draw a thin black line between things, like between the yellow crest on the helmet and the helmet. This will make parts stand out. Similar to outlining. Great job on the eye too! I also like the pattern on his cloak.
