Watchtower reshooted

...the backbone of Emperium's defence, but... what shall be the directions for improvement: a. based, sanded, flocked, grassed? b. brighter, saturated colors? c. more weathering? d. higher picture quality? e. more conversion added? f. blow some life into it, e.g. guardsman standing/sitting? Seriously, what would you suggest as painters? C'N'C appreciated!

Its a great paintjob! A challenging object to make it look interesting. I would add deeper transitions to large surfaces and throw an extra layer of highlights to the stones (to make it "candier") Same goes for wooden floor. Also the color theme being grey, yellow and rusty- brown is very challenging. You can still cover that making the right choise for the base (bright green grass and flowers maybe). Rusty metal looks dull plain colored. In this site you can find countless examples how its done. Also dark backround would be easier for eyes. Definitely keep painting:)

More weathering. These are supposed to be watch towers, so they get constantly raided and beaten up and restored. I think that's the way to make them look when they are solo. When attached to a castle they can look all nice and shiny, but give it some battle damage,
