Thanks for comments! I completely agree with you. The pictures were made in hurry of a half finished craft painted for commission. I tried to stitch a quick diorama to picture the advanced craft capable to blend with the surrounding environment.
I really need to do more work. I have to replace a brass rod with something not so shiny and enabling to tilt the craft a bit. I have to work on weathering to kill a factory fresh look, but not to make it too rusty-dusty-dirty-scratched as IG tank or an orkish truck. Too strong wash could harm the advanced technology look also. The glowing of engines exhaust shall be accented. Maybe have to add some markings.
The photography itself has a lot of space for improvement.
Thank you for constructive feedback!
It's a lovely piece. I like the focus on the skimmer, and the lack of distracting details on the base. It could probably do with a little weathering, as it feels a bit too factory fresh.
Additionally, I think the pose could do with a little work. It feels like it's hovering on the spot. If it was tilted ever so slightly forward, and the engines remaining horizontal to the ground, that would give more sense of motion.
