Dark V - Ravenwing Space Marine Bike

My first EVER go at painting. Added some grass and rocks to the base and then proceeded to splash a muddy brown across the tires and body work! so it looks like its been off roading at some speed! Constructive feedback please :-)

I have seen much worse for a first attempt! You are off to a great start! My best advise? Find a local hobby shop, and get some hands on instruction! I used to be absolutely horrendous, but then I had a Golden Daemon winning painter at my local shop that sat me down one day and took me through step by step how to paint. It didn't improve my painting overnight, but it definitely helped me actually see what areas I needed more work on etc. Judging by the picture, it looks like Verm is right, thinning the paints will go a long way. If you don't have a paint bottle that can drip out, then taking the rear end of your paint brush, dip it into the paint and dab a drop onto your pallete. Tgen depending on how much you need, use a single dab as a use of measurement, then you can dip the end of the brush into your water tin, and drop a drop of water into the paint, and then mix it together. The trick is to not water it down too much, too much and you might as well be trying to paint with nothing but inks or washing and that can be insanely frustrating with it running everywhere. Once you get your paint mixture correct, then it will be time to move on to painting neater, and highlighting etc. Good luck! Don't give up!
