Knight Leaning on Shield

This is a repost of my second painted mini, as I now have a better camera. I don't know the exact model, it came from a big box of minis my husband bought between 10-15 years ago. If anyone knows anything about this mini, please let me know! For this one, I focused on practicing layering and highlighting. I also decided to turn the studs of his sword sheath and pommel of his sword into garnets to practice gems, which I will need a lot more practice on. I'm pretty happy with the leather parts and the blue tabard. I'm disappointed by the feathers, and I'm not sure how well the shield turned out.

Pittura semplice ed efficace che valorizza al meglio una miniatura classica. Complimenti!

The globby bits on the chainmail are (mostly, at least) the model. I'm not sure what caused the chalkiness on the shield. The paints were thinned with FFW magic wash. Thanks for the comment!

First, this is very good for your second mini, this is more like what my 10th looked like. :) The main thing I notice is that the paint is a little chalky? I'm not sure if its the mini itself, the prime job or the paint (maybe it's not thinned enough?), but it definately doesn't look smooth...
