Water God.1

my lastest work. i want to thanks all those who had left their comments on my pervious miniatures. if u happen to see this, thank u! :o) hopefully i've improve a bit... this is my 31st mini painted n the 2nd time trying blending after getting much advices from the seniors. ;o) this mini isn't finish yet. there will be a base whereby the mini will be positioned as if flying on top of a pond. i'm thinking of adding wings n halo to the mini... (i had posted another pic whereby the wings are attached to it, yet again i may want to change the colour of the wing.) Pls give some advice. merely paint for fun n enjoyment, i don't wargame. result: don't really hang around much at the local GW, thus hard to improve my skills since not much advice. will really be greatly appreciated if u gals/guys can give your advices. Thanx a lot! Cheers.

Although this is flawed in terms of technique, I kind of like it. Something interesting in the lighting and scheme. if a little smoother would be nice. keep it up!

I can see some real improvement here over your earlier stuff, but I can see on the blending that its not really, well, blended (both on the spear thingie and on his chest its really apparent). I can see where one color gradation ends and the next color begins. To get a smoother blend, you can try one of two things. The first, use thinner paints and feather the edges, that is, once you've applied that layer, use a clean wet brush to pull it out a little. Or, you can try wet blending, which often requires some extender. place two colors right next to each other, and mix them up at the point where they meet... this leads to a smoother blend in between the two shades.
