Skorize Warrior #1

Finally...my first mini at Coolminiornot. Phew... Ok, this is one of the Skorize Warriors from Rackham's Alchemists of Dirz line for Confrontation. I used mainly Citadel colours with some exceptions: The gold is from picard and some brown from vallejo were used; the base is painted sand. No NMM, though, I'm one of the few last guys who refuse to do this. Comments are - of course - more than welcome! Thanks! Thomas

I'm a big fan of NMM but the metal work on this is gorgeous. some of the best metallics ive seen. beatufilly done. those gems look great too.

From someone who employs natural metal I have to say it's just as legit a technique as NMM. Comparison is strictly "apples and oranges", they both have their merits. The gems are sweet as is the freehand on the shield. The blending on the fabrics needs more practice to bring it up to the standard of the other elements.

I like how your gold turned out. I see gold with red shading, but there's a tinge of green as well for the weathered look. The silver needs work tho. I like the bold highlights on his skirt. It's jumps right out from the shadows, but it looks nice at the same time. Kinda looks a bit too dark on the torso area tho cause of it. Also like how the gloves came out, and of couse the jews are sweet. I'd say tho, his eyes needs to be a bit larger and bolder. He's got that baby face look right now maybe cause of it?
