National Lancer
Hello everybody, I have here a new figure I did for the north american brand MichaelMiniatures. This second equestrian figure was another challenge for me, considering it is a great subject for Sculpture generally and a long debate to motivate the entire composition because it is always displayed as a dialogue between rider and horse. The character this time is a U.S. National Lancer from 1850 . The Lancers have a long and distinguished history as a volunteer cavalry troop of militia and they were organized on 31st of October , 1836 at the request of Governor Edward Everett. The Lancers, as volunteer militia was also responsible for enforcing the law and defending the community from invasion and insurrection meet. Their organization is reflected as light cavalry, equipped similarly to the Polish Lancers of Napoleonic army .The materials I used were the same Milliput Grey , mixture of Milliput and Greenstuff. If you want to see the stp-by-step process I let the link here : http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/national-lancer-equestrian-figure-75-mm.61743/#post-628963 Your comments are welcome as always.
