The Queen of Blades
Well, it's been a LONG time since I've posted ... I had a business crash-and-burn and only recently got myself into a mental state to be ready to paint again. My first painting attempt (hand brushed with acrylics) after getting back in the saddle is an incredibly cool 1/6 scale sculpt from Yanchuan based on the Starcraft character Sarah Kerrigan during her transformation into the Queen of Blades. The scene depicted is from a cinematic for the game Starcraft and I tried to give her the necessary "glow" to make the scene come alive. No fancy lighting here ... just a couple Reveal bulbs splashing across the figure from below (like I always use); I just didn't flood it from above as well. It's a HUGE sculpt and was very difficult to photograph ... her wingspan is almost 2 feet wide. As always, there are plenty more pics at my web-site: sivousplay.net/html/kerrigan.html
