Hmmm. I think you are getting killed becasue of your photos. I think the shiny look is probably more noticeable when you hit it with the flash. Loses the effect of the shading.
I think people expect eyes or a better indication of eyes. Maybe at least a darker area.
The base is off to a good start, but could use a wash or something. The grass is too much a perfect little spot.
