Rackham Inquisitor (Commission Piece)

This was done as a commission, the customer wanted to get as close to the original colour scheme but slightly different, which is how I ended up painting it like this. Well this is a double first for me. My first Rackham figure, and my first full use of Vallejo paints only. Quite a learning experience. I’ve learnt that Vallejo paints have a much different coverage density than GW’s. It took me several coats (five I think) to get an even coverage of the armour. Unfortunately due to the contrast the highlights aren’t showing out quite as they are in life but that’s just a problem with Digital cameras and screen colour display’s. As for the figure I hadn’t realised quite how much detail was on a Rackham figure but having said that it was a pleasure to paint. I really liked the details of the items hanging from the belt/sash, as well as the book under the right arm. Hope that you like this as much as I enjoyed painting it.
