Hayden from Hasslefree (alias Ilva Lagerson)

I'm back from several years of not-painting - with a better camera and a little bit more ambition regarding bases. This is 'Hayden' from Hasslefree - an incredibly cute miniature which just perfectly fits our new Rise of the Runelords party's dwarf fighter 'Ilva Lagerson' (as well as her player). I very much enjoyed the very-matte ScaleColor colours and their less-matte inks, as well as later on adding some vallejo varnishes (matte, satin, gloss) to make certain parts shine. I am not a follower of NMM, though I do enjoy adding some highlights and shadows to the metallic parts. For the swampy base, I used some ground sculpting putty, a spare goblin's head (don't know where I got it from originally, but it was a perfect fit for our Ilva), and some Iceland Moss painted to look like bushes and branches. The rest of the party will follow (in due time, as I am an incredibly slow painter with an incredibly small amount of time to spare for it)...
