Djinn from Reaper

After years of not-painting (and a decade with no finished mini at all in-between) my first new paintjob. This Djinn is to be a present to my longtime game master who sometimes called himself the 'Great Marid' (GM). I started easy at a bigger model - soon cursing the large areas I had to paint. ;) It's the first base I created that looks anything near decent - courtsy of some sculpting putty and a bit of painted Iceland Moss. As my old colour had more or less all dried up, I chose the very-matte ScaleColor for my new line of work. Their inks are less matte, so I ended adding some varnish to his scarf and waistband (to make it look less uneven - I wanted it to be some satin cloth, anyway), as well as the vest (when it was still white-ish and matte, my painting buddy called it a 'nice wifebeater' o_O - hope that impression is by now gone with the silver lining).

Thanks! =) Let's see if I can get any better in the future, though... (Getting faster would be another nice option.)
