With all my respect, I think sometimes historic miniatures become boring for the kind of comment that "alex_7145" has left here. If we are to be loyal to history, then all miniatures will look the same (there's no liberty in choosing colours at all) although I can see and understand his point of view.
Skin and sad look reminds me a bit of some religious miniatures (books). Great textures on the leather!
