WWII Canadian Infantry

This is 1/72 scale, or 20mm. It is soft plastic, you can bend the tip of the gun backwards without it breaking. This means it is very easy for the paint to flake off, and actually needs to be coated in UNDILUTED WHITE GLUE. That's right Mr and Mrs 3-5 light coats of primer -- BRUSHED ON, UNDILUTED ELMERS WHITE GLUE. This is the first I've done in soft plastic, and slopping that glue on sure was a paintful experience. In the end though it shrinks as it dries and didn't really obscure detail that much. It's the price you pay for an inscale weapon. Plus it helped that it costs $8 canadian for 48 of these guys. Anyway, painted in Vallejo with no shading except for the blacklining, just one highlight. I used a lot of Liquitex Matte Gel Medium, which made the highlight like a glaze and helped make it look smoother. Anyway, comments welcome as always, mostly curious to see what it scores. I would be surprised if it breaks a 5 (but secretely hope it will) and dumbfounded if it breaks a 6 (but secretly hope it will. Hell, I hope it makes a 10 and someone offers to pay me $50 000 each for them, but I also fantasize about Jennifer Connely)

Although I haven't put their patches on, these are Canadian Black Watch soldiers. Not only did they have a very high casualty rate (they lost an entire company of around 250 men at Verriers ridge) they also apparently had frequent bath parades. (Strip, take a bath in the stream, grab a fresh uniform) This is based off their unit diary. Anyways, they're wargames figures, I'll take your suggestion for my 1/35 WWII Canadians.
