Silver Tower Heroes
Its been a long-time dream of mine to play fully painted "Silver Tower". Finally I've set a simple goal: to make one of the world best complete Silver Tower paintjobs in reasonable amount of time. I wasn't aiming at a display level quality for sure, since it would take an eternity. Just very nicely looking ~50 miniatures. So here is part 4: Heroes I left heroes as a last part of the project, and was a bit exhausted when I finally came to paint them. So it was a last fastpainting effort to finish them and finish all the set. It was tricky, since they are not a regiment, and do not share one painting scheme. I also made some conversions: simple head swap on Knight-Questor (because Stormcast and their dumb helmets are the ugliest thing GW ever produced) and reposing on one of the Deathrunners (to get 2 unique models). Mistweaver is definitely the star of the set, Fyreslayer and Darkoath Chieftain probably fighting for second place. Warpriest is bad model, having a lot of unnecessary ugly details. I opted for an OSL effect to hide that and make him more or less fine-looking 8 models (including 2 Deathrunners) took me 38 hours total (assembly, conversions and painting), ranging from 3 hours (Tenebrael Shard) to 8 hours (Mistweaver Saih).
