Leman Russ / Hydra Conversion
I always had the impression that the Hydra turret is too massive for the Chimera body and I imagined that it may fit much better to the taller hull of a Leman Russ. So that is what I did. Hope you like it. :) I added some more armor protection for the crew both on the side of the hull and on the turret itself. The crew compartment has received a few minor improvements, such as radio equipment. Like in my previous conversion (Leman Russ Exterminator / command tank: http://www.coolminiornot.com/432236) I sticked to the idea of having field conversions applied to the tank. So that is why the paint scheme on turret is different from the hull. Especially the top part of the extra armor looks a bit shabby, like it was welded together and bolted on the turret somewhere in the field. Comments are welcome! Let me know what you think of the idea and the model.
