year 1707:

This was my entry for the last spanish golden demon. It is based on an historical battle of the imperial army book: "the battle of gungberg": "the evil orc warboss called "GORBAG IRON CLAW", they led a terrible army of green skins across the valley of the black fire. The city of NüLN was plundered; and Eldred, count of Solland, was defeated in combat. Later the orc commander directed his horde towards the north crossing the river top Reick and he squashed the Wissenland's army in Gungberg's battle ... he didn't remain even an alone survivor........". when I returned to my home after the 2002 spanish golden demon I started to think in this diorama...I imagined a big orc warboss, much more bigger than the games workshop official one, and I decided to use the 40K orc warnoss to represent GORBAG IRON CLAW. I thought too that such awesome orc warboss should mount a big beast, but I don't like the image of a 3 tall meter orc mounting a small wild boar..so playing Warcraft pc game, I decided to mount him in a very big warg.. then I decided to represent the end of the battle, with a lot of orcs preparing a big pyre to burn all those dead imperial soldiers ( a typical orc custom...jejejejejej). GORBAG IRON CLAW is in the top of a big rock, screaming to his subofficial and indicating with his finger the next place they will go....ALTDORF, THE SACRED CAPITAL OF THE IMPERIUM!!!. .Imperials tremble!!!!!. the big warg is made of green putty, and all the orcs are transformed, with a lot of pieces and green putty..I tried to do orcs with a brutal and dark appearance, that is why I transformed in that way and why I painted it so dark.(like Adrian smith drawings) all the details drawn are free-hand..and the background is painted with citadel paints and vallejo paints and a big brush!!jejeje.. I painted so many trees behind the real ones to achieve a deep sensation..like if it were a big forest.. the diorama have about 36 miniatures including the pyre..which was a torture to paint. It measures approximately 47 cmts of length for approximately 32 of width Thanks to all those people that help me and supported me to finish it: thank you: Dr.Heza (for your advices about orc skin), to victoria lamb(she don't know but her minis are my inspiration ( look at the light effects of the fire). A greeting to all my friends here: BROTHER SINAER,Karaikal, Pf, allan c, bragon,fredy,deucalion,dex-ter...............etc..an all the new people I know every day (petethemighty, tammy,cONCHA, CHAOSANTON,etc..) a big embrace to all the spanish team (JOSE,LUIS,ALBERT,RUBEN, FER,ALEIX)!!!...UN SALUDO IAGO!! En fin, qué más se puede decir.... la vi expuesta en la tienda de Salgado y aun estoy flipando. Simplemente me encanta, creo que es de las mejores maquetas que he visto nunca.
