AFS Mk. II by Nitto from Machinen Krieger

A gift for my buddy at work. He was happy. My wife is also happy that one more model is out of the house. ;-)

This guy was almost a complete disaster. Liquid cement dripped inside the helmet. You can see it on his right side. That's not a reflection, that's a mistake! The blue was far too glossy and intense. I also overdid it with the rust and chipping, having just bought some new weathering paint. I bought some makeup brushes and tried those for large-area drybrushing and it toned down the blue nicely and dulled the rust and chips. Just luck that it worked. I shall now use $4 makeup brushes for weathering instead of the $10+ sable brushes.

He is 1/20 scale. I think that MaK is in that odd scale because the parts the original artist used tended to come from 1/20 scale cars. A US quarter or a 1 Euro coin would come up to the base of his kneepads.
