Warhammer Chaos Mighty Lord of Khorne
CONVERSION: 1) Chainmail sculpted on his belly. Original bare skin with protruding bowel was kinda nurglish and also feels very vulnerable. 2) Original big khorne icon was awkwardly big, I replaced it with smaller „iron halo“ chaos star 3) Flesh hound has his strange lizard-like spreading underneck removed, so it now looks more like deamonic hound rather then weird gecko. :-) 4) Different axe. No special reasons, I just like this one better. PAINTING: 5) I haven’t stick to one colour scheme within my chaos army but rather use different colour of armour for each unit. Light iron, dark iron, polished bronze, weathered bronze... For this champ I choose nice pinkish copper 6) Regarding flesh hounf, I quite like the original burgundy colour scheme, but there is no point in copying the official studio paint, right? :-) Instead of it, I took inspiration from hellhounds from good old Ghostbusters movie. „There is no Dana there is only Zuul!“ :-) 7) Freehand runes on the cloak are muted by several layers of glaze not to be too much visible, to avoid a fancy look not suitablefor chaos warriors.
